Admissions to the Skegby Junior Academy
The Skegby Junior Academy provides for the needs of children within the 7 to 11 age range who live in Skegby and the surrounding area.
Pupils will be admitted at the age of 7+ without reference to ability or aptitude using the criteria set out in this policy. Admission to our Academy is not dependent on any ‘voluntary’ contribution.
The linked infant school for the Skegby Junior Academy is the Healdswood Infant School.
- 60 for pupils in Year 3
For admissions to Year 3, in the year preceeding admission, parents should apply using the Nottinghamshire LA admissions process.
For admission in September 2019, parents should complete and return their forms to the Nottinghamshire LA by Tuesday 15 January 2019.

There will be a right of appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel for unsuccessful applicants relating to admissions at age 7 or above. Appeals should be made within twenty (20) school days of the date of refusal, in writing, to:
